How Good are You for Your Business?
When was the last time you felt fantastic?
Very often we are our own worst enemy, stress, polution, eating on the run or skipping a meal here and there, alcohol, fast foods and loads of coffee and tea. Along with many hours in front of a pc screen or behind a desk or wheel of a car.
When you are an entrepreneur it is essential that you invest in YOU, your helath, fitness and wellbeing. We are all inclined to work long hours and push ourselves to the limits, but where will our business be without us?
Try these three very simple steps to feeling better in just a few days GUARANTEED!!!
1.Drink at least 2ltrs of water a day (nothing added to it, juice, tea, coffee etc as it changes the chemical compound of the water) Coffee, tea, carbonated drinks and alcohol all dehydrate. Dehydration causes lack of concentration, headaches and a general feeling of fatigue
2.Cut out bread, crispbreads, crackers etc if you have a sandwich for lunch, put what ever you would have in the sandwich on a plate, usually it does not look much; so add some extra protein meat, fish, egg whites. (bread and refined carbs bloat and make you feel lethargic, along with yeast and candida infections)
3.Eat fresh fruit and raw veg throughout the day and evening, natural sugar will give you increased energy, raw veg are higher in nutrients than cooked ones.
Try it for just a week and see what a difference it makes to you. Would be great to hear about what a difference you felt in just a week, so how positive that was for your business. Click here to let me know!

Think About How You Live
Yes, it has been one of those days when I have been made to think about my life, how I live and how I want to live. There is nothing like a touch of mortality to make us sit back and think, take stock and realise we are only human!
Yes, I have been to a funeral, a friend of mine, a husband, father and grandfather, he was seventy two years old, but to look at him you would never think it, his zest for life and playful nature always made him seem a lot younger. He had been married for fifty years! (not much hope I will make that!)he had a great social life and was the fun of any party just like his wife, great characters together. He was devoted to his wife, daughter and grandchildren, and always had time to help or see other people.
Sitting in the chapel, was also another friend of mine a beautiful, single lady of a mere (50ish, but she never admits to it!) Who has gone through three cancer operations herself this year, also a lively and vivacious soul. Her last op being only three days ago, but she was there as a good friend.
What really made me think was that although we had all lead very different lives, we had all done what we had wanted to do. Had the courage to follow our dreams, found ways to finance and earn money to work when, where and how we wanted.
Living in any foreign country that is not your own brings its own challenges, but so much reward. Working for yourself brings along many challenges, but so many rewards. This man had been living the life he loved, with the people he loved, in a place he loved, doing work he loved right up to the end of his life. That is a very powerful statement about the dreams, determination and the dedication of this man.
Wonder how many people can actually say the same about their lives, situations, relationships and work? One thing is sure we have no guarantees, so if you are putting off following your dreams, working for yourself, getting the life you want until the time is right; how much are you going to miss out on?
Take the dreams off of the shelf, dust them off, and beleive in them, then take the actions to find a way to make them come true. Our graveyards are the richest grounds for "what ifs", "I wish I had", "if only" Don't let yours be added to the pile. Be like Gary and be in the champions, "I did it", section.
I know where I want to be........Thank you Gary for yet another great time. RIP my friend

http://ping.fm/zuXWB Find yourself going off the boil somedays? Hard to keep yourself motivated? see what I do.
The Rocky Mentality
This morning I went out training, the first time in a couple of weeks, I had slipped into an excuse mode, early appointments or need to get to the bank etc, then with intentions to train later, which never quite got there.
At the end of very busy days I have put my feet up on the sofa and in no time fallen asleep; only to be wide wake at stupid o'clock with a stiff neck! Starting work then, is great at first, though by midday I am slowing down and in the afternoon concentration is rock bottom.
My eating habits have gone down the same slippery path, missing a meal here and there, snacking bits, not drinking all of my 2lts of water, even adding a glass of wine here and there.
My concentration, stamina, motivation, enthusiasm, bright ideas, laughter and interest in myself and my work were suffering. We are all human, but we are also our own biggest asset or not as the case may be!
I used to use the Rocky films as focal, motivational films when working with Young Offenders, so I sat myself down and watched a film, yes in the middle of the day and no I did not feel guilty, it is just what I needed.
This morning started focused, went and exercised, just as it happened it rained (very unusual in Aug in Spain) but it did me good as I just worked through it. By the time I got home I was soaked, but glowing I felt as if I have moved my world forward.
That set the tone of the day, music, smiles and loads of things achieved today, I stopped and ate lunch that gave me time to refocus for the afternoon. I have been listening to great recorded training, and I have talked to four new customers today! Bingo the sparkle is back.
When you are working alone, have a business in your house it is easy to let yourself slip, getting hold of those reigns and getting back into step is very important. Are you a winner? yes, are you worth it? yes! keep things around you that reminds you of that and anything that helps you focus is great. It does not have to mean anything to anyone else, so my new screen save is........ Rocky jumping with triumph at the top of the stairs!
We can all slide. but it is the strength of mind of an entrepreneur that makes them different to everyone else. Just like Rocky no compromise, eye on your goal and go for it, whatever it is
Regards
Linda

Are you waiting to be perfect for your business?
See what James Dyson and Donald Trump did
Are you waiting to be perfect for your business?
See what James Dyson and Donald Trump did
Don't Expect to be Perfect
Whatever we do in life most of us don't expect perfection, but for some reason when people start to run their own business, they expect to be James Dyson or Donald Trump in a very short time.
I have chosen these two examples because James Dyson as an inventor, many people have inventions or unique ideas, but don't know where to go from there. Donald Trump on the other hand was born into money, but refurbing old businesses and bringing things up to date have gained him billions.
However, what these any other successful people have done is have the determination to go through tough times, Dyson was on the verge of bankrupcy and had to take his ideas and plans to Japan to side step a huge global firm called Hoover that want him out of their market. He fought them and finally won huge damages, but his whole family, their lifestyle, home and even food were on the line, but he did not give in. Donald Trump is no stranger to bankrupcy in his business interests, owing banks at one time over 3 million Dollars. He could have thrown in the towel, but learnt new ways of doing things and back he came stronger than ever.
Don't wait to be perfect in business, as it will not happen the markets change and the products move on. The art is to move with it, be open and willing to learn and change. Trial and error, learn from those that have gone before and use all their bright ideas, then add them to your own.
The world of being an entrepreneur is scarey, and does hold a lot of pit falls, but once you are in there and swimming with the big boys there is nothing like it. This is where dreams are normal currency and nothing is impossible. Negativity stops in the doorway and there is too much energy, vitality and positivity for it to exsist.
You don't have to be perfect to enter this club, but you do have to be determined, have stacks of staying powere and most of all a whopping great big WHY, if you want it enough there is a world wide library and think tank to find a HOW.
If you wait to be perfect before you start, what a loss that just may be to humanity...... you just never know!!!

Important or Urgent Make the Most of your Time
Learning what is important and what is urgent, is a great way of saving time! something only becomes urgent when you don't do it when it is important! Putting things off makes them into a crisis that stops you doing important things that make you money!
It is not to say that important things are not making time to have lunch, or enjoy an evening out with your spouse, to build a solid life these are just as important as posting your ads on the net.
When you are working from home or working for yourself, you are your biggest asset; so you need to keep it mentally, physically and emotionally in tip top condition. Support from your family, friends and spouse is also important, so make time for them. If you don't it will be so very much harder to achieve your goals when you are battling with them and with resentment as well.
Work smart, not work more, enjoy everything you do and do not put things off. if at first things seem hard, the more you do them the easier they get, remember how difficult it was learning to ride a two wheeler bike? or learning to drive? This is the same, a new skill and then you will be off and running.

Strength of Mind
When we think about being an entrepreneur or working from home, the idea is sometimes scary and the financial worries can keep our adventurous spirit at bay.
One thing is without any doubt any home based business or entreprenurial effort needs more than any other skill is as strong mind. This is not to say blinkered or narrow minded views, as the learning curve for anyone in business is very steep. The ability to be taught and to learn from people who have trod the path before us, can save many heartaches and a lot of money.
There is no security in any job now, not even in pensions, investments can go down as well as up! So, building a solid base for your older years is more of a must now than ever before. People are living longer and there is no possible way that in the decades to come that the State will be able to foot the bill.
Whatever your age, or educational level, working from home and the internet has leveled the playing field, if you put the time in you will reap your rewards, if you tread it like a hobby you will get pocket money.
Your strongest most valuable asset is YOU, what you have done, how you live and what you can do to help others. Your belief in yourself and your ability to learn, progress and achieve is paramount. There will be loads of people out there to burst your bubble, lay on the scare tackticks, you have to be strong in your belief of what you want and why to overcome the barriers.
Don't forget you are in good company, every single person who has achieved anything, has stuck to their beliefs when everyone else has doubted. There is not a single successful entrepreneur or business person that started at the top, they worked at it, struggled and achieved.
So, the next time that niggling doubt pops in, or a negative comment lands on your ears, stoke up the fire of self belief and warm yourself on the knowlege that the view from the top is great, it is worth every step to get there.
I am no different, you can see more about my journey on www.lindasage.com Then let me know what you think!

Billions of clicks a day how do you get found? Look & see if I can shed some light

How to Stand Out in the Internet Fog
Hi
I am told that there is 1 billion video updates on You Tube a day, 1.5 billion users on the internet ans 4.5 billion loggin on via mobile phones!!
This is like an avalanche of clicks, hits and downloads of information; how on earth can you get seen and heard without a miracle?
This is no different to anything in life, learn from the people who already know and do it well. If you want to learn to cook, you would not take Spanish classes, or if you are looking at flights you would not be checking the timetables of the train companies.
The internet is no different, watch, listen, learn and follow the big boys! They did not build there mega lists in a couple of days, but what they did do was build a few relationships then swap lists and help one another, as they grew they got friendly with others and did the same. The internet is the biggest team game on the planet and there really is not room for I in a team.
If you have a contact list of 50 or 100 names don't try to joint venture with somebody with thousands in their list, there is nothing in it for them!, find some other newbes following an icon and start to work together and build together, if there is then three of you, you have 300 contacts. Then meet up with 3 others have that around the 300 mark all of a sudden all of you have 900 contacts. It is a numbers game but you can help your numbers by playing in the league you are in at the moment, as you grow your list you will grow your skills and knowledge and your friends.
There are a lot of helpful people out there in cyberland but it is all based on a payback scheme or scratch my back I'll scratch yours. It works and there is no reason for it not to work for you, as long as you do your appenticeship and learn the way. You will then be the BIG BOYS or GIRLS to the next lot of newbes that come along.

5 Ways to Keep Your Dream Alive
Hi,
All of us have had dreams or goals that we have let fade and die in our lifetime. This happens for many reasons, self doubt, do you deserve it, will you cope when you achieve it, or is it lack of activity, laziness, waiting for fate to knock on the door with the answer, missing motivation or enthusiasm.
Maybe we started out well with all good intentions, but then the results did not show as fast as we wanted them to, or an obstacle came along and we questioned ourself, we then doubted and stopped trying. Maybe somebody around us who we respect or admire, took the time to tell us why our dream or goal was not worthy of us, so we listened to them and stopped. Maybe someone just made life so uncomfortable around us because they were scared of change and wanted to keep us just where we are....with them.
We are all entitled to dreams and goals and to achieving them, but there are no magic wands, Genies in lamps, or Fairy Godmothers but there are people that seem like that when you know what you are looking for!!
1. Make your goal personal, it is important to you, write it down in detail always in the 1st person (I, me, my, mine) and always in the present tense (like it has already happened, talking in the here and now)
and sit with your eyes closed to remember it word for word, adding emotion, colour, smells, feelings and textures.
2. Talk to as many people as possible about your goal, they hear it once you keep on hearing it. Talk to yourself about it when you are not talking to somebody else.
3. Any one you talk to that does not encourage or support you, keep them at a distance, stay away from them, their view is only an OPINION not a fact. Believe you are worthy of the new goal, believe you deserve it.
4. Your dreams and goals will not pop into being without working on them and preparing yourself for them dedication on your part, do something everyday to get you closer to the goal, read, listen to CDs or watch DVDs by people who are experts in the area of your goal. Mix with people who have already achieved your goal and listen to their experiences.
5. The fact is as you believe in your goal and move towards it, some people are going to be left behind you, but new people are always going to come along to replace them, only the negative people will be left behind. Blinkers on, head high, shoulders back and just go for it.
Funny thing is once you have tasted the excitement of achievement, you will only want more.....so go to it, what is next?
One thing is for sure you can do it, if you want to and set your mind to it.
